Education and Professional Experience

Cienfuegos, Cuba, 1962
Self-taught artist. Member of the Association of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and of Grupo Punto.

He has been a teacher of visual arts at the Benny Moré Art School and the Conrado Benítez García Higher Institute of Pedagogy in Cienfuegos, Cuba.

Among his solo shows stand out: O.K., Boulevard Gallery, Cienfuegos, Cuba (2008); Suddenly Last Summer, Luis de Soto Gallery, Havana, Cuba (1996); Caribbean Utopias, Gothaer Kunst Forum, Cologne, Germany (1994).

He has participated in numerous group exhibitions both in Cuba and abroad, among them: Top os,  collateral to the Tenth Havana Biennial, Cuba (2009); Proposals, Paseo del Buen Pastor Gallery, Cordoba, Argentina (2008); New Art from Cuba. Among his prizes stand out: Prize of the 5 de Septiembre Salon, Provincial Art Center, Cienfuegos, Cuba. (2005) and the Second Prize of the First Biennial of Small Format Sculpture, Cerro Gallery, Havana, Cuba, (1996).
