Education and Professional Experience

He graduated from the Leopoldo Romañach School of Visual Arts in Villa Clara.

He has presented solo shows since 1964 in Cuba, Poland and Hungary,

Collective Exhibitions and Events

He has participated in group exhibitions in Germany, Mexico, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Colombia, Spain, Monaco, England and Greece.

Awards and Residencies

He has obtained prizes and acknowledgments from the National Salon of UNEAC, the National Salon 13 de Marzo and at the World Triennial of Contemporary Art from India.

He has developed an intense communal work. The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba granted him the replica of Máximo Gómez’s machete. He received the Distinction of National Culture and the National Prize of Communal Culture.

Collections

His works are in the collections of the National Museum of Fine Arts, Havana, Cuba, and in the collection Art of Our America, Casa de las Américas, Havana, Cuba.
